2D test for Ballister Blackheart momoent

This was my last assignment on Nimona before Blue Sky Studios shut down. As a sequence lead, I was responsible for 'plussing' the storyboard before we translated it into 3D. The storyboard was already amazing, but I did my best to make it even more fun. Although not everything made it to the final film, I was glad to see some ideas brought to life in 3D. This was my very first assignment on Nimona. It was before we had any rigs, and it was originally meant to be a simple 2D hair test—but I got a little too excited and it grew into a short film 😅! It was such a fun opportunity to explore how much animalistic, scurry energy we could incorporate. Character was designed by Aidan Sugano and I got to do some epxression sheets as well. Enjoy!
