Jin Kum is a Korean-American animator and artist based in New York.
He had his formal training at Young's Art Studio and Ringling College of Art and Design.
Upon graduation, he was hand picked by Sony Pictures Imageworks and
he made his debut as an animator on Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
His passion and great attitude made him director's favorite animator
projects after projects. After finishing Hotel Tranyslvania, he decided to join Blue Sky Studios.
He lead numerous characters and animated on some of the iconic scenes in Rio 2, Ice Age Collision Course, Ferdianand, Spies in Disguise and Nimona.
Unfortunately Blue Sky Studios closed and he went back to Imageworks to help out with Hotel Transylvania Transformania and The Sea Beast.
Currently he is working on Disney's next feature film.
In addition to his feature animation credits, he has been involved with short films, game cinematics, and episodic series as director, animation consultant, animation supervisor, character designer, and a storybaord artist.
